Listening at the height of a growing field.

TRIBEE is a proposal for an acoustic device that monitors pollinator activity in crops. A ring of microphones sits on an adjustable mast, with a solar panel above it. The design focuses on installation, height adjustment and access to the internal parts.

Placing the microphones

The proposal uses beamforming: several microphones work together to focus listening in a chosen direction. The ring positions the microphones around the central enclosure. This is a product design proposal; the images show the intended arrangement and field setting.

Adjusting as crops grow

The installation sequence uses a ground screw, a mast and a locking pin. To follow plant growth, the user removes the pin, raises the sensor and locks it again. Seasonal adjustment is part of the use sequence.

Organising the assembly

The enclosure groups the battery and electronics around the mast. The drawings separate its outer shell, internal parts and connections, making assembly and access central to the design.
