Wearable interaction Built prototype
Zahir

Bringing movement into musical control.
Zahir is a wrist-worn motion-controller prototype. It brings a movement sensor, a small programmable board and a battery into a compact enclosure. The project explores a link between bodily movement and musical control through MIDI messages.
Fitting the components to the body
The layered assembly places the sensor and electronics inside a shaped support, beneath a transparent shell. A wristband attaches the object to the body. The exploded drawing and disassembled prototype explain how these parts fit together.
Developing the shell
The process combines electronics experiments, programming, sketches, a printed internal structure and a formed transparent shell. The enclosure gives these technical parts a single wearable form while keeping them visible.
