Bubbly
A drawing tool with a world of its own.
Bubbly is a drawing application built around rounded, connected shapes. Colour layers and finish controls let people develop those shapes into illustrations. The interface, characters and identity share the same visual language.
Building a drawing in layers
The layer panel separates colours and parts of an illustration. Finish controls add grain and shading to the surface. These two sets of controls let the structure of a drawing and its appearance develop separately.
Extending the visual language
The purple Small Visitor character, wordmark and illustration collections carry the rounded forms beyond the canvas. Together, they give the application a recognisable identity while showing the range of images the drawing language can support.
